The festival season is almost upon us! Playing a key part of British summertime, there are festivals locally, nationally and internationally for everyone!

Isle of Wight: June 11-13, Seaclose Park, Newport.

Kicking off the festival season, this year's Isle of Wight festival has something for everyone – old and young! Paul McCartney and Jay-Z headline – other acts include Pink, Blondie, Spandau Ballet and Crowded House – to name but a few!

Glastonbury: June 23-27, Pilton, Somerset:
The king of festivals, Glastonbury is this year celebrating it's 40 th anniversary. The spectacular lineup includes U2, Muse, Stevie Wonder, Shakira, Snoop Dog and Scissor Sisters.

Larmer Tree: July 14-18, Larmer Tree Gardens, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The perfect family summer festival! Set in 11 acres of Victorian gardens, the six stages offer a mix of comedy, theatre, dance, as well as folk, blues, rock and world music. With lots of activities for children, including an adventure playground and storytelling amongst the trees. Tickets start from £120 for three days. Womad: July 23-25, Charlton Park, Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

A family-friendly festival, with a comprehensive programme for under 13s in the ‘World Of Kids’ (children go free). With the kids entertained, adults can enjoy the likes of Rolf Harris and the Aboriginal singer Geoffrey " Gurrumul" Yunupingu, Salif Keita, the Drummers of Burundi and Gil Scott-Heron. Camp Bestival: July 30-01 August, Lulworth Castle, Dorset:

With Zippos Festival Circus, ‘jestival’ sessions, comedy, theatre and music, Camp Bestival is a truly magical experience. The fancy dress theme this year is Fairy Tales. V Festival: August 21-22, Hylands Park, Chelmsford.

On it's 15 th birthday, V has a fabulous lineup with a mixture of chart-topping rock and pop acts, including Kings of Leon, Kasabian, The Prodigy, Goldfrapp, Paolo Nutini, Florence + the Machine, Cheryl Cole and much, much more.
